Nemesis

... is always portrayed as female, so could be (and usually is) described as a goddess. As a loyal Granuiad reader however, I am happy to accept that the word 'god' may have been used in the pursuance of gender neutrality.

Nemesis is one of the few gods (or goddesses) that have the same name in the Greek and Roman traditions.
